A 10-year-old boy was allegedly buried alive by suspected occultic men in Ngwo, Enugu State.

According to the Vanguard, suspected occultic men have reportedly buried a 10-year old boy alive in the Ngwo area of Enugu state. This act was uncovered by a Catholic priest from Abia State, Reverend Father Modestus Chilaka, invited by elders to assist in cleansing the land. The man of God initiated a three-day fasting and prayer campaign to sanitize the land of evil roots. This led to the discovery and rescue of the boy.
Vanguard reports the boy was allegedly kidnapped along the Independent Layout axis in Enugu. The state Police Command's Spokesman, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu was contacted to confirm the incident but he said he is yet to receive any report of such. He however expressed the possibility of the incident.
However, the traditional ruler, Ogwugwu Ebenebe 1 of Ameke Ngwo, Igwe Jerome Okolo, said: “I was here and I saw a small boy who was buried alive as a sacrifice.
“The priest said there was such thing happening and they have buried a boy for rituals.
“He prophesied and said he will go there and rescue him. He went and they rescued the boy and brought him to this ground and everybody saw him.”
