As President Muhammadu Buhari embarks on a third medical trip to the United Kingdom alleged to be gulping a whooping sum of $1 million per trip, Nigerians have dug out his failed 2015 campaign promises.

A close look at a 2015 election campaign speech by President Muhammadu Buhari revealed that the All Progressives Congress chieftain has apparently reneged on some of his campaign promises.

The Nigerian leader centred his political campaigns to oust former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan almost two years ago on corruption, security and wastage of governmental funds by public office holders who have been accused of severally globetrotting for medical, educational and tourism purposes.

Fast-forward to January, 2017, Mr. Buhari has refused to be treated in Nigeria as he recently, for the third time towed the 'big man' trend of seeking medical services abroad.

TORI NEWS reflect on a damning speech riddled with populist views made by the President in London on the 21st of February, 2015 to woe electorates and seek the support of the international community.

Read a quick excerpt below concerning incessant medical trips in the name of vacation as pinpointed by TORI NEWS:

"What is the difference between me and those who elected us to represent them, absolutely nothing. Why should a Nigerian President not fly with other Nigerian public?

"Why do I need to embark on a foreign trip as a President with a huge crowd with public funds? Why do I need to go for foreign medical trip if we cannot make our hospital functional? Why do we need to send our children to school abroad if we cannot develop our universities to compete with the foreign ones? Why and why must our people be servants to the foreigners in the midst of plenty"
