The 'I go always pray for you' singer, who is the only inspirational and gospel artist signed to the M.I Abaga-led entertainment company, made this controversial statement in a chat with Saturday Vanguard.
Nosa's comment is 'controversial' because other successful labels such as Don Jazzy's Supreme Mavin Dynasty, Banky W's Empire Mates Entertainment, Ubi Franklin's Made Men Music Group and Five Star Music among others, consider themselves record labels and not mere 'production houses'.
Responding to a question if record labels in Nigeria have truly lived to their name, the Benin City, Edo State-born singer said "We have production houses. Chocolate City, for me, is the only record label in the country in terms of structure, artiste development, and doing the business the way it should be done. The industry in Nigeria is very epileptic and has no structure; it favours those with money".
