Arguably Nigeria's most controversial actress and singer, Tonto Dikeh has disputed one of Nollywood's long-circulated rumours that she is at daggers drawn with fellow actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie.
In an interview published on Sunday by The PUNCH, the 'sugar rush' singer also denied that her relationship with her family is strained following reports over a year ago that she purportedly called out her father on social media for abandoning her and her siblings.
The first runner-up in the now rested 'The Next Movie Star' TV show, said "I was born into a close-knit family of seven. I studied Petrochemical Engineering at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology. I had a beautiful childhood because my parents did not deny me the good things of life. Memories from my childhood are dear to me and are etched in my mind. I also have a very good relationship with my parents and siblings contrary to what people want to believe"
On the nature of her relationship with her colleagues, especially Mercy Johnson, the 'Missing Rib' actress said it is cordial. "I have a cordial relationship with all my colleagues and I have absolutely no issues with Mercy Johnson-Okojie as it was once speculated; we are all cool people", she said.
