A magnificent building in the Alakia area of Ibadan, Oyo State has been razed by inferno with properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
The burning hotel building
A hotel today, 29th of January, 2017 caught fire this morning and every effort to quench the fire was to no avail.
All efforts to reach to the fire fighters also failed as residents in the Alakia area were thrown into disarray.
According to an eye witness, the Oyo state fire fighters were called upon and it took them about 3hrs and 13min to reach the venue of the accident.
The emergency team arrived late and the building was severely burnt to the extent of almost spreading to the other houses nearby.
