A man of God from a royal family has caused a stir after he escaped for his dear life upon refusing to become the chief of his community.

A budding pastor of a local spiritual church at Wawase, a community in the Lake District of the Ashanti Region of Ghana, has fled the community to avoid the wrath of his family members, who are angry with him for allegedly disgracing them, reports Adom News.
The pastor got into trouble after he refused to be installed as chief of the community since he came from a royal family. The family were left angry as the decision was an affront to them.
It was gathered that Osei Kwame, 33, has, since September last year, fled the community to the anger of his kinsmen. He was nominated by his family to be the Chief, but he declined the offer on the basis of his religion and beliefs, and disappeared.
As a Pastor, Osei Kwame believes accepting to be the chief would go contrary to his religious beliefs, as he is not ready to pour libation, an integral aspect of chieftaincy, for which stance the family has threatened to deal with him.
He is believed to have fled five months ago to avoid the wrath of his family members, a section of which had threatened his life for disgracing them.
Mr. Kwasi Ntim of H/No WA 40, who claims to the father of Osei Kwame, has reported the missing of the young pastor to the Kuntanase police for assistance in tracing their relative.
A police extract issued to Mr. Ntim on February 7, 2017 indicated that Osei Kwame has been missing for the past five months.
