Residents of Makoko were yesterday thrown into disarray after a mysterious fire ravaged the sawmill section of the slum.
The Makoko slum on fire
There was a fierce fire outbreak which raged through Makoko, a slum neighborhood located near the 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
Reports have it that the men of the fire service in Lagos had challenges in accessing the region thereby leaving the fire to burn ceaselessly over the night.
The inferno left a part of Lagos in thick smoke as residents panicked.
