A woman is being made to pay for her unbelievably criminal act after she was found out to have murdered her fellow wife.

A 24-year-old woman, Jacinta Omiko, has been remanded in prison custody in Ebonyi
 
The woman was remanded by a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, on Friday, for allegedly killing a fellow wife.
 
According to Punch Metro, it was gathered that the deceased, Mrs. Ginika Omiko, was pregnant with an eihgt-month-old pregnancy before she was hit with a pestle by the accused in their family home at Akpoha in Afikpo Local Government Area, which led to her death.
 
According to the charge No. MAB/111/C/2017, the accused offence is punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap 33 Vol. 1, Laws of Ebonyi State of Nigeria 2009.
 
The Magistrate, Olughu Nnachi, ordered that the accused be remanded in the prison custody and the case file be transferred to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for reassignment.
 
In a statement presented to the court by one of the witnesses, the accused had asked the deceased to remove the faeces littered along the passage by her son.
 
The accused (Jacinta), who did not get an immediate response, was said to have engaged the deceased in a hot argument and hit her with a pestle.
 
The body of the victim has reportedly been deposited at the mortuary of the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Afikpo.
