Telecom subscribers today, 21st of February, 2017 received various scam messages raising alarms about their unspecified bank accounts being blocked due to incomplete Bank Verification Number registration.

As the current economic recession cum hyper-inflation stifles the masses, the 'scam industry' seems to be admitting new members looking for their daily bread.

The survival of the fittest mentality has been adopted by some unscrupulous and jobless Nigerians scouting for nefarious ways to rip others of their hard-earned money.

The old trick of the BVN scam has been adopted again and forwarded to thousands of Nigerians throught SMS to harvest unlucky preys. Several telecom subscribers in Lagos at different periods received messages from random phone numbers representing the financial body - Interswitch.

An urgent appeal is currently being made to appropriate financial bodies to curb the financial crime before vulnerable Nigerians and other uneducate people lose their rare resources.
