Nigerians in South Africa at a local community sought to self-help following the inability of police to adequately secure the vulnerable immigrants.
The Nigerian community being secured
The several attacks on Nigerians and other immigrants by South Africans, have led Nigerians to form a collective vigilante group to protect themselves against xenophobic attacks currently going on in the country.
Some Nigerians who spoke in Yoruba language talked about the adoption of Voodoo to combat the miscreants behind the xenophobic attack. Some Nigerians brandished knives, clubs, cutlasses and other weapons as they secured their community against surprise attacks.
As seen in the video, a battle-line was drawn between the two opposing sides. A group of Nigerians reportedly gathered after a botched attack on the community by some faceless South Africans.
