A woman who had sex with her best friend’s 12-year-old son and then gave birth to his baby has bagged a three year jail sentence.
According to Metro UK, the 40-year-old woman began a sexual relationship with the 12-year-old after she started driving him and her daughter to school and developed feelings for him.
The pair were said to have had unprotected sex once a week over a five-month period.
The woman, whose name was withheld, pleaded guilty at Victoria County Court in Melbourne, Australia, to the persistent sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16.
“You failed to recognise that your feelings for the boy were completely inappropriate.
“You commenced and continued an abusive sexual relationship,” a judge said to the accused.
Meanwhile, the woman gave birth to a girl in May last year. It was gathered that the boy’s mother, who was best friends with the woman, even visited in hospital – completely ignorant of the fact that her 12-year-old son was the father.
However, during the hearing of the case, the boy’s mother, bitterly described to the court how her son’s childhood was callously taken away, further narrating the ordeals the 12-year-old has to go through, in a bid to adjust to fatherhood.
