Suspected suicide bombers affiliated with the Boko Haram sect in the north-east have been reportedly intercepted in the course of a deadly operation.

Early this morning, multiple suicide bomb blasts rocked Damboa road, opposite Central Bank Nigeria quarters in Maiduguri, Borno state.
According to online reports, the Civilian Joint Taskforce detonated tripple suicide bombers before they were able to carry out their mission.
Thick smoke was seen coming out from the scene of blasts.
