The Peace Corps of Nigeria is close to being a functional security outfit in Nigeria with members recruited, trained and decorated with uniforms as well as having a beautiful edifice to serve as the body's headquarters.

The Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN) yesterday commissioned a new National Headquarters in the Jabi area of Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Although the National Commandant Dr. Dickson Akoh alongside 49 other officials were arrested, by men of the Department of State Security and Nigeria Police Force, they have regained their freedom.
The police has described the PCN as a registered Non Government Organization that can't function as a government's security outfit.
