The date for the election of a new President in Nigeria has been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has released the date for the 2019 Presidential election.
The INEC National Commissioner in charge of South West, Solomon Soyebi while briefing newsmen in Abuja on Thursday said that the commission has fixed February 16, 2019 as the date for the next Presidential election in the country.
It also fixed the governorship/state assembly/Federal Capital Territory Area Council elections for Saturday, March 2, 2019.
