Popular veteran actress in the Nigerian movie industry, Mrs Veronica Njoku, otherwise known as Ramota in the defunct 'New Masquerade', has reportedly passed away.
A media personality and Facebook user identified as Precious C. Eze, has taken to the social media platform to announce the death of veteran actress, Mrs Veronica Njoku, popularly known as Ramota in the defunct TV show, New Masquerade, is dead.
"Ramota Passes On. Mrs. Veronica Njoku, popularly known as ''RAMOTA'' in the now defunct TV Drama, New Masquerade has passed onto Glory.
"The actor, who started her TV career in NTA Aba, died this morning in Lagos. May Her Soul Rest In Hope!," he wrote.
It was gathered that the colleague of the actress, Tony Akposheri, who played the role of Zaccheus in the TV series that dominated the airwaves in the 80s and late 90s, also confirmed the news of Ramota’s death to a correspondent in Lagos.
“Yes, it is true that Veronica Njoku is dead,” the veteran actor said on Wednesday morning when he was contacted on phone.
Findings revealed that Mrs Veronica Njoku breathed her last on Tuesday morning in Lagos.
