Tragedy! Petrol Tanker Crushes Undergraduate Student to Death in Osun State (Photos)

A hardworking student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, has been crushed to death by a petrol tanker in Osun State.

A young man simply identified as Segun 'Dada' who is said to be a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede was on Thursday morning crushed to death by an unidentified fuel tanker while on his way to work, at owode-ede market in Osun state.
 
According to eyewitness account, the tanker ran into Segun who was trying to find his way to the other side of the road and killed him, leaving his body scattered on the road.
 
After the sad incident, the driver is reported to have fled the scene, which made the angry youths of the community to chase after him.
 
He ran to the Zone 11 police headquarters in Oshogbo. 
 
 
The angry youths who were prevented from harming the driver threw caution to the wind and took control of the road causing a massive traffic. It was also alleged that after the mother of the slain student heard about the incident, she went into shock and might have lost her life.
 
An eye witness Nurudeen Akingbola said, "As I speak now, I was just coming from their house where we went to drop his body for upward movement to the morgue, his mother on seeing the remains fainted and could not be resuscitated. I have also been informed that the land lady of the deceased, who was very fond of him has also passed on"
 
 
Security personnels have since been deployed to the area to maintain peace, while the remains of the victim has been deposited at the mortuary.
