A man has caused a serious stir after storming the stage while Governor Willie Obiano was making a speech, to make a request.

Willie Obiano

Arize Ifewulu, a self-styled activist and literary crusader, caused a stir, on Wednesday, during the Media Summit organised by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, when he breached protocol and disrupted Governor Willie Obiano’s speech.

Vanguard reports that the man, who suddenly appeared on the stage facing the governor, carried a placard with the inscription: “For quality books, Your Excellency, please judge my manuscript, Don’t allow talent to lie waste please!….."

He was pacing up and down when the governor ordered him to stop.

When the governor caught a glimpse of what was written in the placard, he commended the library idea but wondered why the man chose NUJ forum for the campaign.

Later when interviewed, the man who claimed he hailed from Agulu community in Anambra State said that it was out of frustration  that  he decided to confront the Governor in that manner.

With a rope stuffed in his pocket, Arinze said that he wanted also to let the world know that he would commit suicide if his manuscript failed quality test by a panel of judges to be set up by the Governor.

He said he needed sponsorship for the manuscript to be published.
