A police officer has met an unbelievably disastrous end in his own house while having dinner with his family.

A South African police officer identified as Sello Rihlampfu has been gunned down while having dinner with his family.
Daily Sun SA reports that the 39-year-old was killed during a robbery at his house in Kromkuil Moagi, near Winterveld in Tshwane on Wednesday.
His girlfriend, Tshireletso Khobane, said they heard a door open while they were eating but they thought it was just a family member.
“We were surprised when the person didn’t come to say hello or anything.”
Tshireletso said Sello went to check at the door and found a man wearing a balaclava. She said the thug panicked and shot Sello in the chest.
Two thugs then came in from other rooms in the house and told everyone to lie down.
“They demanded car keys. They also took our cellphones and wallets. They then fled,” she said.
Tshwane Metro police spokesman, Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba, said cases of house robbery and murder were opened.
“The three suspects are still at large.” he said.
