The pop star, who is gearing up for the release of his third studio album, said he deserved to win the 2015 MAMAs Best Male Artist award.
HKN Gang act, Davido, has described his "Best Male Artist" award at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) in Durban, South Africa, as well-deserved.
The self-acclaimed Omo Baba Olowo clinched the award for a second consecutive time ahead of Platnumz Diamond (Tanzania), Sarkodie (Ghana), AKA (South Africa) and fellow Nigerian pop star, Wizkid.
The 'Aye' singer, who said he wasn't surprised when he was announced as winner and called up on stage to receive the award, attributed his success to hard work and very supportive fans.
"I wasn't surprised because I know I have worked so hard and my fans have been so supportive, well deserved, I guess", he told ENCOMIUM Weekly in a brief chat.
