A man who was playing Judas Iscariot in an Easter performance has died in the process after accidentally hanging himself.

A rather shocking report by Metro UK has shown how a man has died after accidentally hanging himself while playing Judas in an Easter performance.
The 23-year-old, who has been identified as Jose Ignacio G. was preparing to replicate the scene when Judas hangs himself after betraying Judas when the incident occurred.
He was standing on a bucket with a wire tied around his neck when he lost balance and was left hanged from the tree, according to el Universal.
People watching the show in Barranquillas in western Mexico rushed to the scene, however, were unable to save the man who died on his way to hospital.
Carlos Garfias Merlos, the Bishop of Morelia, said he did not know anything about the incident as it took place in a town that was not under his supervision.
Michoacan state prosecution have opened an investigation.
