A kidney disease has claimed the life of a promising Nigerian soldier from the South-eastern part of the country who has served at top levels.

A gallant army officer, Major Simi Johnson Ikea has died after suffering from kidney problem.
 
The soldier from Ovim, Abia state who worked as a presidential guards officer during the regime of former president Goodluck Jonathan was apparently loved by many, as observed from the touching and emotional tributes which have been flooding different social media platforms since his demise.
 
May his soul rest in peace.
