Members of the House of Representatives were in a meeting yesterday with the Speaker of the House over the legislators' delayed salaries.
Members of the House of Representatives including the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, on Wednesday night, August 5, met to discuss the lawmakers’ delayed pay.
According to Premium Times report, house members have not been paid their July salaries.
The meeting which reportedly began around 9pm at Room 028, new building wing of the House, had all members in attendance.
A lawmaker told the newspaper: “We have not been paid. But everybody wants to collect money. I still call my account officer today if money has dropped, she said, no”.
According to the report, the delayed pay has generated complaints amongst members.
