While speaking during the second session of the 3rd synod of the Anglican Diocese of Zaria, the Bishop in charge showered encomium on President Muhammadu Buhari over his fight against insurgency.

The Anglican diocese of Zaria has commended the efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in degrading the Boko Haram terrorists.
In the Bishop’s charge, delivered to the second session of the third synod by Rt. Reverend Abiodun Ogunyemi, the diocese said the inability of former President Goodluck Jonathan to courageously handle the Boko Haram menace had brought discontent to the Church.
It said, “We want to commend the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for the giant stride in defeating the terrorists to minimal level.
“The Nigerian military must be highly commended for the sacrifice and commitment to the Nigerian nation.
“The administration of President Goodluck Jonathan was very incapable in confronting this dreaded group and the Church must bury her head in shame for our inability to properly advise the (former) president on the need to be strong and courageous in fighting these terrorists.”
However, the diocese described what they called Buhari’s silence on the Southern Kaduna “genocide” as an act of “wickedness”.
It also urged the Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasiru el-Rufa’i, to extend his development strides to Southern Kaduna in order to address his “lopsided” road construction.
