Senate Goes Into Closed Session, Shares Financial Details of NASS 2017 Budget Ahead of Passage

Ahead of the consideration of the 2017 budget, the Senate has gone into a closed door session as they share the financial breakdown of the budget.

 
The members of the Nigerian Senate have gone into a closed door session ahead of the passage of the 2017 budget.
 
The budget report was laid on Tuesday and Senate President Bukola Saraki said it will be considered and passed on Thursday.
 
Passage of the budget was the first item on the order paper on Thursday, but after taking prayers, Shehu Sani, senator representing Kaduna central moved a motion on the demise of Ahmadu Chanchangi, a businessman.
 
 
The consideration and passage of the 2017 budget report was supposed to follow but the senators went into a closed session.
