A disagreement has led to the death of a nursing mother after she was slapped by a co-tenant resulting in the woman's death.

A serious commotion enveloped Madikpo community in Makurdi, Benue State when a nursing mother, Monica, died during a fight with her co-tenant, Sewuese.
According to NewTelegraph, the nursing mother died during a fisticuff over confectioneries their kids were eating and playing with when Sewuese allegedly slapped Monica resulting in her death.
Trouble, sources said, started last Friday following a brief discord between Sewuese’s brother whose name could not be ascertained at press time and the victim, who also allegedly slapped the deceased, prompting prolonged quarrel.
The quarrel was reportedly settled when other tenants and neighbours intervened. A witness said the quarrel spilled over to Saturday when the ‘sweet’ the deceased bought for her little baby was allegedly taken from the baby by Sewuese’s kid.
Sources said when the deceased heard the cry of her baby; she rushed in to inquire when Sewuese accosted her. Sewuese allegedly slapped the victim who collapsed and died instantly.
But when contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Moses Yamu, said the matter had not been reported to him.
