Borno Government Invest Over N164m to Rehabilitate State's Central Abattoir

The manager of abattoir in Borno State, Alhaji Baba Maizannah revealed that the state government had spent over N164m on the rehabilitation of the Maiduguri Central Abattoir.

 
Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima has expended a total of N164m on making the state owned abattoir the best in the country.
 
According to the manager of Borno Abattoir, Alhaji Baba Maizannah, the state government had spent over N164m on the rehabilitation of the Maiduguri Central Abattoir.
 
Alhaji Maizannah further stated that the funds was also used to improve cleanliness in the slaughter-house.
 
The abattoir has been responsible for the production of cow hides and skin but since the persistent security challenges in the state has affected the workings and success of the state owned abattoir.
 
Alhaji Maizannah made this statement while revealing the support of the government on the ensuring the abattoir remains a success.
 
The Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima currently occupied the position of the chairman of the Northern States Governors' Forum [NSGF]
