A thief was beaten mercilessly after he was caught during a robbery operation in the University of Ibadan.

A young thief has been apprehended by security operatives while robbing students of the University of Ibadan. The unknown thief was beaten mercilessly by a mob. He was also caught with charms.
It was reported that the thief came with an accomplice who ran away after people accosted them while they were trying to steal a phone inside Room A37 in Mellanby Hall.
The thieves tried to steal a phone before an alarm was raised. One ran away leaving the other to his fate as he got beaten mercilessly before he was rescued and arrested by the school security.
He was appropriately handed over to the security unit. As at the time of writing this report, it is unclear whether he is a student of the University of Ibadan or not.
