According to reports, the All Progressives Congress earned massive sums from the sales of expression of interest and nomination forms from aspirants seeking the party's ticket in the November 21 governorship election in Kogi State.
Indications have emerged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may have earned more than N137 million from the sales of expression of interest and nomination forms from aspirants seeking the party’s ticket in the November 21, 2015 governorship election in Kogi State.
According to THISDAY, as part of preparations for the state governorship primary slated for August 29, APC is also set to commence screening of aspirants today in Abuja.
The sale of the governorship forms which began a fortnight ago, ended officially last Friday, August 6, with a total of 27 governorship aspirants filing out to purchase the forms at N5.5 million each.
Out of the 27 aspirants who picked the nomination forms, two are women while others are men.
THISDAY learnt that the amount realised from the sales would have been higher but for the policy of the party which granted women waver from paying for their nomination forms.
