A family has been thrown into a seriously grieving mood after a parcel they received suddenly exploded after they opened it.

As many as three South African family members sustained serious injuries after a parcel they opened exploded on Friday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Daily Sun UK reports that the family were in their house in Essenwood, Durban when they received the parcel, Captain Nqobile Gwala said.
She said the three people were taken to a hospital.
The explosives unit and Berea SAPS are still at the scene.
