BREAKING News: Traders Wailing in Agony as Fire Razes Shops in Lagos Island

Early Tuesday morning fire has razed down shops belonging to some clothe sellers in the Island area of Lagos State, witnesses have said.

According to a report by Premium Times, a fire incident has razed down shops belonging to some clothe sellers in Lagos Island, around Broad Street, behind UBA House on Tuesday morning.
 
The fire reportedly started at around 2a.m. midnight.
 
While speaking to correspondents, some traders said that the fire started from a nearby electricity transformer, and spread into shops.
 
Some traders who were spotted at the scene, were seen wailing and counting their losses, as passersby commiserated with them.
 
“This is really tragic,” one trader said, declining to speak further.
