A 42-year-old woman was saved by her bra when she and her husband were on a bike ride in Mecklenberg-Western Pomerania, Germany.
The unidentified woman and her spouse accidentally entered the territory of a wild boar hunt.
At that very moment the woman was hit by a hunter’s stray bullet and after awhile found out that her bra underwire literally saved her life by deflecting the bullet.
Speaking on he incident, she said: “I felt a sudden pain in my chest. I looked down to see that the wire in my bra was bent.” Luckily, the woman escaped with slight shock and a large bruise on her chest. Her brassiere was withdrawn by police as evidence as hunters will likely to face charges of causing injury by negligence.
Police spokesperson André Falke commented on the situation: “Those in charge of the hunt then broke it up straight away. The woman’s underwear did her a very valuable service.”
