A commercial driver nearly killed himself after he was beaten blue and black, with broken heads for refusing to follow the traffic warders to their office at Shell Camp Police Station in Owerri by traffic warders.
He shocked people by running under a vehicle for his life to be taken instead of following the traffic warders who had taken his bus to their station.
The incident caused pandemonium and traffic gridlock that lasted more than 30 minutes at the Imo Government House roundabout, Owerri.
