A married man has committed suicide after he caught his prostitute girlfriend having sex with another man.
A married man affilated with a prostitute in Zimbabwe, Fortune Jeremia Manyuka, has reportedly committed suicide after he caught the prostitute have sex with another man.
Manyuka, an Agricultural Extension Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture based at Ngundu Halt Business Centre in Chivi, allegedly drank a poisonous substance because his prostitute girlfriend was cheating on him.
Acting Masvingo Police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nkululeko Nduna, confirmed the incident, saying that Manyuka had earlier warned the lady to stop sleeping with other men and vowed to do something nasty if she did not stop.
Sources said that before taking his life, Manyuka burnt all the property in the house he had rented for the sex worker and was arrested and charged with malicious injury to property.
Upon his release, he reportedly bought a bottle of poison and when he got home, he downed the substance.
He was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.
