Thousands of fans came out in their numbers to pay their last respect as the body of former Newcastle and Ivory Coast international, Cheick Tiote who
died two weeks ago of cardiac arrest arrived at Abidjan airport on Thursday for his burial.
His former teammates numbering at least 20 from the different football clubs he played for also were present as the body of the football star who died in China earlier this month, aged 30, was brought home.
Family members and fans could not contain their grief as Tiote’s coffin was carried through the airport.
