Tribunal Admits Ladoja's 89 Exhibits Against Governor Ajimobi's Victory

Former Governor of Oyo State and Accord Party (AP) gubernatorial candidate during the last governorship election, Rashidi Ladoja has so far tendered 89 exhibits before the state Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal to challenge the victory of Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

According to This Day, Former Governor of Oyo State and Accord Party (AP) gubernatorial candidate during the last governorship election, Rashidi Ladoja has tendered 89 exhibits before the state Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Oyo state to back up his claim that the electoral process that ushered in Governor Abiola Ajimbobi was manipulated.
 
The said exhibits have been admitted by the tribunal for assessment. Ladoja has in the past expressed his dissatisfaction with the outcome of the gubernatorial elections in Oyo state which prompted him to tender his claims at the tribunal.

Ladoja also joined APC, the INEC boss in the state, Dr. Rufus Akeju, and the commission itself as co-respondents.

The breakdown of the exhibits tendered by the petitioner which was admitted by the tribunal shows that 62 documents were tendered on behalf of Ladoja by his counsel, Chief Richard Ogunwole (SAN), last Tuesday with another 27documents received from three additional local government areas.

The exhibits, according to Ogunwole, contained the reports of elections conducted in Itesiwaju, which was completed from Tuesday session; Oriire, Ogbomoso North and Ogbomoso South Local Government Areas.

However, counsel to first and second respondents, Wole Olanipekun (SAN), and Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) respectively, said they would reserve their objections to the exhibits tendered till the stage of filing their final written addresses.

The reports tendered are chronological analysis of happenings during the election conducted by the lead witness in the petition, Mr. Bimbo Adepoju.
