More than 200 people have been killed in ongoing attacks on Fulani community in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State.

Fulani elders, who said this in a statement in Jalingo yesterday, said over 4,000 cattle were also killed in the ongoing crisis, which started on Saturday.

The Fulani elders accused Mambilla tribe of carrying out a well-organised ethnic cleansing against the Fulani in Sardauna Local Government and supported by some top officials of the local government.

According to the Fulani elders, the killings have continued in the last four days and nothing was done by relevant authorities to stop the ethnic crisis.

According to one Usman who shared the photos of some victims on Facebook, members of a popular resident named Alh Idris Bappate's family were attacked with machetes in the tribal clash.

He said their wounds are not properly dressed due to nonavailability of qualified medical doctors where they are admitted. According to him, they are wallowing in excruciating pain.
