As the process for Senator Dino Melaye's recall intensifies, Kogi state government has been accused of inserting names of dead people in the recall list.

The Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has described his recall process as a hoax, saying that even the names of dead people are on the recall list.
He made the allegation as he pointed accusing fingers at the Kogi State Government saying that Governor Yahaya Bello and members of the Kogi State government would go to jail over forgery.
According to Melaye, his planned recall would not lead to payment of workers’ 15 months salary arrears in the state. He said the plan would not succeed as it was a mere hoax and absolute comedy of error. The lawmaker said he was laughing at the stupidity of Kogi State Government, as many appointees would certainly go to jail for forgery.
“Even dead people’s names on the recall register. A governor who does not know what double registration is may not as well know the procedure for recall. Every lie has an expiry date.
“This comedy of errors will soon end. No shaking at all. This won’t solve the problem of not paying salaries for over 15 months. No retreat no surrender. Truth is my only defence,” said Melaye on his Facebook page.
