History is Made as Nigeria's David Oyelowo Will Play James Bond in 'Trigger Mortis'

The Selma star will portray 007 and other characters in a recording of Trigger Mortis, a new Bond novel by Anthony Horowitz.

 
Nigerian-British actor, David Oyetokunbo Oyelowo, popularly known by his stage name as David Oyelowo has written his name in history book as he has become the first black actor to play in an  audiobook of new James Bond novel by Anthony Horowitz titled - 'Trigger Mortis'.
 
 
After appearing as Martin Luther King in the multiple award-winning film, 'Selma', the 39-year old Oyelowo, will portray 007 and other characters in a recording of Trigger Mortis.
 
In reacting to the selection, Oyelowo said:

"I was asked specifically by the [original author Ian] Fleming estate, which is really special. I am officially the only person on planet Earth who can legitimately say ‘I am the new James Bond’… even saying that name is the cinematic equivalent of doing the ‘to be or not to be’ speech."
