It's going to be an electrifying night in Lagos as the winner of the Glo CAF Awards will be revealed. This year's award for Africa's football of the year will be a very intriguing one because all contenders have a history or a record to break if crowned.

 
It's going to be an electrifying night in Lagos as the winner of the Glo CAF Awards will be revealed. This year’s award for Africa's football of the year will be a very intriguing one because all contenders have a history or a record to break if crowned.

Yaya toure hopes to equal Ex-Cameroon star, Samuel Eto’o record of winning the award four times(2003, 2004, 2005 and 2010), he will not on equal Eto’s record but will be the first player to win the award four times in a row.

 Nigerian goalkeeper will be the first goalkeeper to win the award and will be the first Nigerian to win the award since 1999 when Nwankwo Kanu was crowned.

Aubameyang, if crowned will be the first Gabonese to have laid his hands on the prestigious crown since its inception in 1992.
