The recently commissioned Abuja Airport expressway is fast becoming delapidated and commuters are becoming worried at the quality of the work done by the construction company.

The 10-lane Abuja Airport Expressway commissioned by the immediate past president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan at the waning period of his administration is reported to be turning into a death zone due to the poor state.

It would be recalled that Julius Berger was awarded N59billion in 2009 for the expansion of the road from 4 to 10 lanes by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA).

The road upon completion was commissioned by Jonathan on the 7th of May, 2015.

The state of the multi-million naira road project has depleted within a space of three months according to Premium Times.

It has been described as a death trap for road users due to the massive potholes and erosion that has affected it.
