Senate Orders Osinbajo to Remove Magu, Suspends Appointment Confirmation

Senate President Bukola Saraki has asked the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to remove EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu.

The Senate, on Tuesday, called on Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to remove Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, Sun News has reported.
 
The Red Chamber said the time has come for the Executive arm of government to obey its resolutions. It also suspended all confirmation of appointments until compliance with its resolution.
 
"Acting President must respect the constitution and laws enacted by the National Assembly as relating to the confirmation of nominees." the Senate said.
