An unbecoming act perpetrated by a university lecturer in Nigeria has been reported on social media with an outrage from netizens.

Professor M.A Daramola of English Department, University of Lagos flogged student who came late to his class on their palm.
A student who was in the class filmed the odd incident and shared it on social media. Corporal punishment in higher institutions is anomalous in Nigeria as anywhere in the world.
Some primary and secondary schools have also banned administering such punishment to pupils by teachers under any guise.
