A young aspiring Nigerian movie maker has become bed-ridden by a life threatening kidney disease, requiring urgent help to stay alive.

Willibrord Emmanuel wang

This is Willibrord Emmanuel Wang (Willie), a 22-year old Nigerian who was born and raised in Plateau State.

Willie is the last Child in a family of 6.

The young man was raised by his grandmother in Kabong areas of Jos North, after losing his dad at the age of 4 and his mom at the age of 5.

In 2012, Willie graduated from Sele Nei Private School in Jos and hopes to proceed to the National Film Institute to study a course relating to movie production.

In November 2016, he was diagnosed with a Chronic Kidney Disease and has since been on dialysis, twice a week. He has been having his treatment at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, and is having his dialysis at Dee Medical Center, still in Jos.

Each week, his family spends 50,000 Naira on dialysis. Now his chances of staying alive depend on a kidney transplant which can be done here in Nigeria at the Abuja Medical Center at the cost of 10 million Naira which the family has been trying to source.

The little money pulled together by the family has been put into his dialysis, making it harder to plan for the permanent solution of a transplant.

Willie believes in miracles and the drops of water that make the ocean.

Willie now depends on urgent contributions from well-meaning Nigerians to stay alive.

We can keep him alive by donating the little we have because it can go a long way.
