A bricklayer and conductor who had the nerve to steal an overhead tank in a Delta State community have been nabbed in the act.
The two men were made to lift the tank
Austin Agholor, a 24-year-old bricklayer and a 22-year-old bus conductor, Trust Eronime, were paraded by the Agbor Gha Ihun security outfit after they were arrested for stealing a water tank in Agbor, Delta state.
According to Christian Onwugbolu, a facebook user who shared the information, the two young men who are Agbor indigenes confessed that they were strolling when they saw the tank around Ehianuka Street, in Ime-Obi.
Without wasting any time they emptied the water in it and rolled it away.They were rounded up as they were making plans to sell the tank to a man identified as Lucky at the sum of N30,000.
They both reportedly confessed that it's the hand-work of the devil.
One of the suspects, Eronime lamented that his parents had earlier warned him to beware of Austin but he paid deaf ears to their advice.
The Agbor Gha Ihun deputy leader and member, Delta Water Ways and Land Security, Mr Monday Kiyem (Maduma) who is always leading the operation said the fight against crime in Agbor remains their top priority.
He appealed to residents of the area to always provide them with useful information about criminal elements operating near them.
