The Independent and National Electoral Commission has revealed it has halted the process for the recall of Senator Dino Melaye.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended the process of recalling Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west.
According to Adedeji Soyebi, national commissioner of the commission, the decision was made following a court ruling.
It would be recalled that Senator Dino Melaye had last week gotten a court order requesting INEC to maintain “status quo” pending the determination of a suit filed by Melaye to challenge the process.
Soyebi said INEC would appeal the ruling.
