APC Wins All Council Seats in Kebbi

The All Progressives Congress in Kebbi state has won all the chairmanship position in the state after Saturday's election.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the chairmanship seats in all the 21 local government areas of Kebbi State where elections were held on Saturday, DailyTrust reported.
 
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC), Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad Mera who said the election was conducted in all the 21 local government areas of the state under peaceful atmosphere.
 
The KESIEC Chairman added that 28 political parties took part in the election which saw the ruling APC pulling a total of 95, 881 votes in the 21 local government areas and the PDP 28, 514 votes.
 
The results for the councillorship elections are yet to be released by KESIEC.
