There was confusion on a Lagos highway after a car reportedly caught fire leaving many people running for their lives.

People were left panicking after a car went up in flames yesterday evening on a highway at Ilubirin area of Lagos.
The driver of the vehicle who immediately jumped out after noticing the flames was joined by passersby and other road users as they tried to put out the fire.
It was later curtailed and a serious disaster was averted.
