A Beijing court has sentenced Jaycee Chan, the son of actor Jackie Chan to six months behinds bars after pleading guilty to providing a venue for drug users.
It was reported around August last year that Jaycee's home was raided by police and confiscated more than 100 grams of Marijuana. jaycee who tested positive alongside his friend, a and Taiwanese movie star Ko Kai.
His lawsuit and eventual imprisonment has brought embarrassment and shame to his father who in 2009 was named an anti-drug ambassador.
Jaycee has since regretted his actions,
‘I violated the law. I deserve to be punished. When I return to society, I won’t do it again,’ he said in a courtroom footage aired on China Central Television (CCTV).
