A woman has shocked people with her dastardly act after it was found out that she had drowned her own fiance inside a river.

Angelika Graswald

Angelika Graswald, a 37-year-old woman has admitted drowning her fiancé after his alleged demands for s*x, porn and threesomes enraged her.

According to Daily Star UK, the woman pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and sinking lover Vincent Viafore’s kayak.

She had earlier told police she wanted to be free from her fiancé’s “wanted threesomes, porn, everything.”

Graswald, 37, said she was unable to save Viafore, 46, when he capsized without a life jacket in New York City’s Hudson River.

However, on Monday she confessed to removing the drain plug from the kayak and prosecutors say she pushed a floating paddle away from Viafore.

They also claimed she wanted to cash in on Viafore’s $250,000 (£191,000) life-insurance policy.

She was rescued from the water by another sailor and treated for hypothermia.

Graswald, from Latvia, was arrested shortly after his death in April 2015 after giving inconsistent statements to police.

She told cops during an interrogation: “I wanted him dead and now he’s gone. And I’m OK with it.”

She had been facing murder and manslaughter charges but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge.

Graswald faces up to four years behind bars when she is sentenced in November.

Her attorney Richard Portale said: “She didn’t want to go through it.

“She didn’t want the family to have to go through with it. There’s no winners at the end of a trial like that.”

Vincent’s mother Mary Ann Viafore said: “I miss my son. That’s what’s running through my heart.”
