A thief was got more than he bargained for after he was caught during an operation in Delta state and was beaten mercilessly by villagers who later handed him over to security operatives.

The local residents of Isiokolo area of Delta state on Tuesday, apprehended a thief during an operation in the neighbourhood.
The criminal was beaten mercilessly by eagle-eyed villagers who apprehended him.
It was gathered that after he was beaten, he was also disgraced, and was paraded in his underwear before the arrival of security operatives who took him into custody.
